Morrison, Colorado is located at the mouth of Bear Creek Canyon, in Jefferson County. Known as the Nearest Faraway Place, it is a small but thriving town whose major industry is tourism. It has some beautiful Real Estate such as Willow Springs which is nestled in the stunning Red Rocks.
There is also the stunning area of West Ranch, This Gated Sub-division is called West Ranch which is on the west side of Ken Caryl and is not in the typical part of Ken Caryl as you would expect. It is literally 2 minutes to the US 285 from the north entrance (but you don’t hear or see it) and 10 mins to the C470.
As you drive through this area, you will think you have entered a State Park. There are over 500 acres of dedicated open space. A quiet road tucks round wooded forests with some amazing views of the Denver Metro spreading as far as the eye can see. Yet there are over 50 homes tucked behind these trees. Each home is situated on many acres of land keeping each home very private. They are STUNNING! The houses are zoned for horses – some have stables and barns already
Morrison was established in 1874 and still continues to bring tourists out of the big city to enjoy the small town atmosphere. The Morrison Theatre Company offers plays throughout the year.
Red Rocks Amphitheater is a beautiful, natural, geologically formed, open air Amphitheatre. This one of a kind work of Mother Nature provides acoustical perfection for any performance.
The amphitheatre is available for tours and many concerts, conferences and meetings are performed here.
Night at the Drag Strip
Bandimere Speedway is on of the most unique tracks on the NHRA Racing Circut. With Thunder Mountain as a backdrop, you can hear the engines roar off the canyon as they speed towards the finish.
